Cheng Qiongwen Leads a Team to Conduct Research at Dundee International College

To further advance the construction of the National Outstanding Engineers College of Central South University, on the afternoon of October 17, Cheng Qiongwen, Party Committee Secretary of the college, led a research team to visit Dundee International College of Central South University. Chen Ailiang, Vice Dean, and other staff members accompanied the visit. Gao Dongbo, Party Branch Secretary of Dundee International College, Wang Xiaozong, Director of Student Affairs Office, Zhang Shanshan, Deputy Director of Business Office and other relevant personnel attended the symposium, which was presided over by Gao Dongbo.

Secretary Gao Dongbo introduced the college’s development history, organizational structure, school-running objectives, practical practices and achievements in line with international education standards. Secretary Cheng Qiongwen elaborated on the preparation, application and establishment work of the National Outstanding Engineers College.

Both sides had in-depth exchanges on system construction, staffing, institutional setup, faculty allocation and financial management in the high-quality development of the college. Participants actively put forward suggestions to build the college into a model benchmark for engineering education reform and industry-education integrated talent training.

After the symposium, the research group paid a field visit to Dundee International College.

This research aims to help the college further improve hardware and software facilities, give full play to the role of the National Outstanding Engineers College in advancing engineering education reform and fostering national strategic talents, and cultivate outstanding engineers who are patriotic, dedicated, proficient in professional technologies and capable of solving complex engineering problems for the country.
