On the morning of April 18, a delegation led by Liu Guoquan, former Vice President of Hunan University of Technology and Business and Dean of its Elite Engineers College; Zhou Xiancheng, Executive Dean of the Elite Engineers College; Du Yan, Dean of the Graduate School; Zhou Min, Vice Dean of the Undergraduate School; and Tan Ping, Vice Dean of the Elite Engineers College, visited the college for an exchange symposium on the construction of the National Graduate College For Elite Engineers. Liu Tiexiong, Director of the Central South University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Office; Chen Ailiang and Liu Fangyang, Vice Deans of the college; and Li Huanhuan, Deputy Director of the Graduate School Training Office, attended the symposium. The meeting was chaired by Chen Ailiang.

At the meeting, Chen Ailiang extended a warm welcome to Dean Liu Guoquan and his delegation. Subsequently, Liu Fangyang introduced in detail the college's basic construction situation from aspects including educational positioning, faculty team, operation management, talent cultivation, industry-education integration, and future development. Liu Tiexiong introduced in detail the university's undergraduate outstanding engineering talent cultivation initiatives. Dean Liu Guoquan introduced the construction progress of Hunan University of Technology and Business Xiangjiang Elite Engineers College in student cultivation, management mechanisms, and university-enterprise cooperation.

During the discussion and exchange session, both parties conducted in-depth exchanges on core topics including undergraduate, master's, and doctoral enrollment, university-enterprise joint cultivation, engineering master's and doctoral student cultivation, and university-enterprise supervisor selection. Both parties agreed that outstanding engineer cultivation is an important measure of national education reform, and that they should actively explore innovative cultivation models, strengthen industry-education integration, and enhance students' practical and innovation capabilities. At the same time, both parties expressed that they will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation, jointly explore new pathways for outstanding engineer cultivation, and contribute to the country's scientific and technological development and industrial upgrading.

The successful holding of this symposium laid a solid foundation for cooperation between Central South University and Hunan University of Technology and Business in outstanding engineer cultivation. In the future, both parties will carry out broader and deeper cooperation in talent cultivation and scientific research, jointly contributing to the construction of an engineering education and cultivation system with Chinese characteristics and world-class standards.
