Delegation from MIIT Education and Examination Center Visits College for Symposium and Exchange

On the afternoon of April 29, 2025, Xian Ruping, Deputy Director of the Training Division of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) Education and Examination Center, and Ma Yang, Project Supervisor; Zhao Lixia, Manager of the Training Department, and Chen Yuling and Shi Yao, Cadres of the Training Department of the Nonferrous Metals Industry Talent Center; and Zeng Weiping, Vice President of Hunan Nonferrous Metals Vocational and Technical College, visited the National Graduate College For Elite Engineers for a special symposium on talent cultivation in the context of digital transformation. Chen Ailiang and Liu Fangyang, Vice Deans of the college; Fu Biao, Officer of the Degree Management Office of the Graduate School; and Wang Jun, Officer of the General Office of the School of Metallurgy and Environment, attended the symposium. The meeting was chaired by Vice Dean Chen Ailiang.

At the symposium, Vice Dean Chen Ailiang first extended a warm welcome to Deputy Director Xian Ruping and her delegation. Vice Dean Liu Fangyang systematically introduced the college's innovative practices in educational positioning, faculty team, talent cultivation, and industry-education integration, demonstrating the college's education system oriented toward industry needs and characterized by engineering practice.

Deputy Director Xian Ruping introduced the functions of the MIIT Education and Examination Center in talent cultivation and industry certification, and pointed out that the purpose of this research visit was to learn from the college's advanced experience in cultivating outstanding engineering talent. She expressed her hope to cooperate with the college in building a talent cultivation system aligned with industrial needs, jointly developing a high-level faculty team, and deepening collaboration in curriculum development and training base construction.

Manager Zhao Lixia, combining digital transformation and information upgrading in the nonferrous metals industry, proposed that digital talent cultivation is the key to promoting high-quality industry development. She looks forward to collaborating with Central South University and other university-enterprise partners to improve digital curriculum systems and certification standards, delivering more high-quality technical and skilled talent to the industry. Vice President Zeng Weiping, from the perspective of higher vocational colleges, expressed his hope to establish cooperation with the college in faculty training and program structure optimization.

Vice Dean Chen Ailiang proposed a "layered and categorized" training concept, emphasizing that talent cultivation should be oriented toward industry development and enterprise needs. Through diversified cooperation including university-enterprise collaborative talent cultivation, achievement evaluation, and career transition, resources can be integrated and advantages complemented, providing talent support for sustainable industry development.

This symposium and exchange provided new ideas for talent cultivation in the context of digital transformation. In the future, the college will continue to leverage its disciplinary and talent advantages, deepen multi-party cooperation, jointly build a talent cultivation system adapted to digital transformation needs, and inject new momentum into high-quality industry development.
