China-Indonesia Elite Engineer College Construction Implementation Plan Review Meeting Successfully Held

 On December 31, 2025, the review meeting of the construction implementation plan for the China-Indonesia Elite Engineer College was held in Conference Room 416 of the Science and Education Building. Yingying Zong, Executive Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Harbin Institute of Technology, Dachao Li, Executive Dean of the National College of Elite Engineers of Tianjin University, Jiaojiao Geng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Dean of the National College of Elite Engineers of China University of Petroleum (Beijing), Yanbing Zong, Dean of the College of Higher Engineers and Executive Dean of the National College of Elite Engineers of University of Science and Technology Beijing, Peng Yao, Vice Dean of the National College of Elite Engineers of Shandong University, Yang Wang, Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Management Office of the Graduate School of Beihang University, as well as Wujiao Dai, Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Central South University, Professor Yihong Qin, Professor Kun Li and others attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Ailiang Chen, Vice Dean of the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers, Central South University.

 During the review process, experts put forward systematic suggestions from multiple dimensions including school-running structure, enrollment management, curriculum construction, degree quality control and sustainable operation. In terms of the school-running structure, experts unanimously believed that the plan should be further materialized and operable, suggesting that the cooperation model should be upgraded from "point-to-point" to "consortium", and fully incorporate local policy certification and university selection mechanisms. In terms of enrollment and student status management, it was emphasized that the selection standards for different types of students should be clarified, and the enrollment scale should be flexible to meet the needs of localized talent training for Chinese-funded enterprises stationed in Indonesia. In the design of curriculum and training model, experts pointed out that it is necessary to highlight the innovation and sustainability of engineering education "going global", improve the "work-study alternation" system, and establish replicable and iterable templates for courses and enterprise projects. In the link of degree quality control, it is suggested to build an award standard recognized by students, universities and enterprises, and pay attention to the connection with career development. In addition, experts specially emphasized that the construction of the college should be closely combined with the actual technical needs of bilateral enterprises, and a long-term fund guarantee mechanism should be established to support faculty dispatch and daily operation.

 After in-depth discussions, the review meeting further clarified the improvement direction of the top-level design of the China-Indonesia Elite Engineer College. In the next step, the college will refine the implementation plan according to the experts' opinions to enhance its operability and replicability, and carry out special demonstrations around key issues to ensure its scientificity, rigor and international applicability.

 The successful holding of this review meeting marks that the preparation work of the China-Indonesia Elite Engineer College has entered a new stage of refined and systematic promotion.
