On the morning of January 19, 2026, Zhi Zhou, Dean of Xiangjiang Elite Engineers College of Hunan Agricultural University, and his entourage visited our college. The two sides conducted special exchanges around the cultivation of elite engineers and college construction. Ailiang Chen, Vice Dean of our college, attended and presided over the forum.

 Vice Dean Ailiang Chen extended a warm welcome to Dean Zhi Zhou and his entourage, and introduced the practices and reflections of the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers, Central South University in system construction, the establishment of industry-education integration platforms, and the university-enterprise collaborative education model. She said that she hoped to take this exchange as an opportunity to learn from each other's experience and jointly promote the cultivation of elite engineers to a higher level.

 Dean Zhi Zhou introduced the school-running background and current situation of Xiangjiang Elite Engineers College of Hunan Agricultural University. Established in July 2024, the college, as an important part of the core structure of "one body and two wings" of Xiangjiang Science and Technology Innovation Institute promoted by the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, shoulders the important task of deepening the reform of "new engineering" education and improving the quality of talent training. He focused on expounding the college's school-running orientation, organizational structure and development characteristics, and shared the implementation path and possibilities for the cultivation of elite engineers in the field of agricultural engineering.

 At the meeting, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions focusing on the construction of elite engineer colleges, covering university-enterprise joint curriculum development, the whole-process training and management of students, the optimization of discipline settings, the enrollment and selection mechanism, and the construction of overseas elite engineer colleges.

 This exchange has built a good communication bridge between the elite engineer colleges of the two universities. The two sides will further promote resource sharing and experience learning, jointly explore a new paradigm for cultivating elite engineering talents with Chinese characteristics and world-class standards, and help the construction of elite engineer colleges reach a new level.
