They conducted in-depth discussions on the collaborative cultivation of elite engineers and the strategic reserve of overseas talents.Qiongwen Cheng, Party Secretary of the College, Ailiang Chen, Vice Dean, and other leaders attended the forum, which was presided over by Vice Dean Ailiang Chen.

At the start of the meeting, Vice Dean Ailiang Chen introduced the College’s development positioning and construction achievements. He emphasized that the cultivation of elite engineers should adhere to the dual leadership model of university and enterprise, rely on real enterprise project scenarios, and promote the in-depth integration of education chain, talent chain and industrial chain.
During the meeting, Manager Yang Xiaowei elaborated on two major talent demands of the enterprise: first, to build a systematic cultivation system for scientific and technological talents; second, to explore the order-based joint training model to cultivate reserve overseas talents with both professional literacy and international competency.
In the exchange session, the two sides reached a number of consensuses on the cultivation of scientific and technological talents and overseas talents, and thoroughly discussed the through-train talent training mechanism to realize seamless connection in talent selection, cultivation and job placement.
In his concluding speech, Party Secretary Qiongwen Chen expressed gratitude to Aluminum Corporation of China Limited for its long-term strong support to the university. He innovatively proposed the Three-Entry talent cultivation model — entering research teams, participating in research projects, and joining key laboratories — to align talent training closely with actual enterprise needs. He pointed out that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, both sides should deepen cooperation in college co-construction and joint training of domestic and overseas talents, and build a new benchmark for industry-education integration in the non-ferrous metal industry.
This exchange further consolidated the strategic cooperative partnership between the two sides. Going forward, both parties will refine the cooperation plan, implement reached consensuses, jointly set a new model for university-enterprise joint talent training, and deliver more high-caliber elite engineering and technological talents for national strategic development.
