Visiting Sany Group to Experience the Power of Intelligent Manufacturing — Faculty and Students of the College Visit Sany Group for Study

To further advance the in-depth integration of industry and education, foster a sound environment for the cultivation of elite engineers, broaden students’ professional horizons and connect them with cutting-edge industrial practices, over 30 faculty and student representatives from the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers, Central South University visited Sany Group for an immersive study tour on the afternoon of March 31, 2026, building a solid bridge for school-enterprise collaborative education.

At the beginning of the activity, the person in charge of the Human Resources Department of Sany Group delivered a thematic presentation on the enterprise’s development strategy and talent cultivation philosophy. In the presentation, the speaker systematically elaborated on Sany Group’s three core development strategies: globalization, digital-intelligent transformation and low-carbonization. From the globally laid-out industrial landscape and the in-depth application of digital twin and intelligent manufacturing to the practical path of electrification transformation and green development, the presentation fully demonstrated the innovation resilience of China’s equipment manufacturing enterprises and the responsibility of engineering and technical personnel, vividly interpreting the robust practice of empowering high-quality industrial development with science and technology. Meanwhile, the person in charge also detailed the enterprise’s talent introduction and cultivation policies, comprehensive training system and core job requirements, establishing a clear career cognition framework for students and pointing out the direction for their growth.

Afterwards, the faculty and students visited the exhibition site of the 2026 Sany Technology Festival, experiencing the innovative strength and development pulse of China’s equipment manufacturing industry up close. The exhibition zone showcased the latest achievements in the electrification, intelligence and greening of construction machinery. Core technologies such as long-range pure electric tractors, dual-motor electric drive axles and "Magic Tower Battery", as well as representative equipment including extended-range dump trucks and electric mixer trucks, not only highlighted Sany Group’s robust R&D strength, but also reflected the firm pace of China’s equipment manufacturing industry in transforming toward high-end, intelligent and green development.

In the intelligent exhibition area, the faculty and students focused on learning the core principles of the intelligent auxiliary construction system for excavators and unmanned excavation robots, and personally participated in the remote excavation operation experience, intuitively feeling the industrial trend of construction machinery upgrading toward "unmanned and intelligent". In addition, by learning about the practical application of intelligent systems in green mines, students gained a deeper understanding of the significance of industrial low-carbon transformation and further clarified the integration point between professional knowledge and industrial demands.

During the visit, the faculty and students learned while observing, communicated enthusiastically, and took the initiative to discuss the technical details of the exhibits combined with classroom knowledge, integrating theoretical knowledge with industrial practice in depth. This activity effectively elevated their professional cognition of the development of the engineering field in the digital-intelligent era, and strengthened their conviction to devote themselves to the engineering cause and support the upgrading of national manufacturing industry.

This visit to Sany Group is an important measure for the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers to practice the concept of practice-oriented education and deepen school-enterprise linkage. The activity has not only built a practical platform for students to integrate theory with practice, broadened their academic horizons and accumulated industrial experience, but also further consolidated the foundation of school-enterprise collaborative education, promoted the in-depth development of industry-education integration, and injected new impetus into cultivating a team of elite engineers with innovative and practical capabilities, as well as supporting the high-quality development of China’s equipment manufacturing industry.
