On the afternoon of September 18, the college held the summary meeting on Party discipline learning education and regular work meeting of Party branch secretaries in Conference Room 208, Jingui Building of the new campus. College leaders including Cheng Qiongwen and Zhu Zhongping attended the meeting, and all Party branch secretaries were present.

At the beginning of the meeting, a themed lecture on scientific ethics and academic norms themed "Cultivating Fine Work Style and Academic Atmosphere, Building a Sound Innovative Ecosystem" was delivered. Relevant requirements of the university on academic integrity publicity and education were conveyed, aiming to enhance all teachers and students’ awareness of the importance of academic integrity, guide them to stay awestruck, abide by rules and stick to the bottom line, and create a upright and positive research and academic atmosphere in the college.

Later, Deputy Secretary Zhu Zhongping conveyed General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on Party discipline learning education and the spirit of the meeting of the Central Leading Group for Party Building Work. The special working group for Party building of the college reported the work summary of Party discipline learning education carried out by the college Party Committee, and emphasized and arranged the key organizational work tasks of the college in the near future.

In the end, Secretary Cheng Qiongwen delivered a concluding speech. He affirmed that all Party branches have earnestly carried out a series of effective Party building activities and professional work centering on the core work of the college, and put forward three requirements for the next stage of work. First, fully complete the implementation of Party discipline learning education tasks, give better play to the restrictive, guaranteeing and encouraging role of Party discipline education. Focusing on consolidating and expanding the achievements of Party discipline learning education, thoroughly study and implement the spirits of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, continuously foster a sound political ecosystem, and provide solid disciplinary guarantee for the high-quality development of the college. Second, steadily promote the standardized construction of Party branches to improve the quality and efficiency of grassroots Party building work. Party branch secretaries shall attach great importance to basic work such as filling in Party branch work manuals and strictly implement relevant work arrangements issued by higher authorities. Third, further strengthen the sense of responsibility. Party members and cadres should take the initiative to take on responsibilities, fully explore the distinctive advantages of each branch, and effectively promote the improvement of scientific research and teaching environment as well as the construction of students’ academic atmosphere in the college.
