Director Xiao Zhigao and Delegation from State Grid Hunan Electric Power Company Visit the University for Exchange

On November 14, an eight-member delegation led by Xiao Zhigao, Deputy Director of the Organization Department of the Party Committee of State Grid Hunan Electric Power Company, including Chen Zhengmao, Director of the Education and Training Division (Talent Division), Yang Pei, Deputy Director, Zhang Yong, Deputy Director of State Grid Hunan Technical Training Center, Yang Xuejiao, Director of the Organization Department, Xie Yisi, Deputy Director of the Talent Development Center, Liu Chun and Liu Haoliang paid a visit to our university for exchanges. Su Mei, Vice Dean of the School of Automation, Chen Ailiang, Vice Dean of the National Outstanding Engineers College, and Associate Professor Xiong Wenjing from the School of Automation attended the forum, which was presided over by Vice Dean Su Mei.

At the meeting, Vice Dean Su Mei extended a warm welcome to the guests. She shared the latest research achievements of the School of Automation in the construction of new power systems, grid integration and consumption of distributed power sources and new energy storage development, and put forward constructive suggestions on translating research findings into practical applications.

Vice Dean Chen Ailiang gave a detailed introduction to the construction progress and talent training modes of the National Outstanding Engineers College. She stated that relying on the universitys strong scientific research strength and high-quality educational resources, the college strives to cultivate outstanding engineers with global vision, innovative spirit and practical capabilities. She also expressed the expectation to establish closer cooperation with State Grid Hunan Electric Power Company in talent training and scientific research collaboration.

During the discussion session, both sides conducted in-depth talks on the selection mechanism for outstanding young talents pursuing doctoral degrees in engineering disciplines, specific implementation plans for outstanding engineer training and detailed cooperation arrangements. The delegation spoke highly of the universitys research strength and talent training system in the field of power engineering, and showed strong enthusiasm for further cooperation.

In the end, both sides agreed to take this exchange as an opportunity to set up regular communication mechanisms, jointly promote the training of high-caliber young talents, and contribute to the sound development of Chinas power industry.
