On the morning of November 28, 2024, a five-member delegation led by Wang Chengyang, Director of the Secretariat & Supervision Department of Sany Group President’s Office, together with Luo Ting, General Manager of Sany Zhongchuang, Zhou Jing, Industry Director, Zeng Panwen, Investment Director and Wei Xiaochen, Operation Manager of the Industrial Development Division, paid a visit to the Outstanding Engineers College of Central South University to discuss in-depth industry-education-research cooperation. Cheng Qiongwen, Party Secretary of the College, Chen Ailiang, Vice Dean, Li Yanrong, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the Alumni Entrepreneurs Association, Zeng Jing and Xie Junjie from the secretariat attended the forum.
At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary Cheng extended a warm welcome to the guests and introduced the founding background and development progress of the college. He stressed that since its establishment, the college has been committed to cultivating outstanding engineers catering to national strategic demands. Leveraging the university’s superior discipline clusters, it strives to build a demonstration base for training innovative leading talents in new energy, energy storage engineering and artificial intelligence. He expressed the expectation that both sides would work together to build a nationally exemplary talent training base.
Wang Chengyang stated that adhering to high-quality development, Sany Group invests over 5 billion yuan in scientific research annually and has a growing demand for high-caliber innovative talents. He hoped to cooperate with Central South University in talent training and interdisciplinary development to foster a sound ecosystem for sound industrial chain development.
Li Yanrong noted that the Alumni Entrepreneurs Association will act as a bridge linking universities and enterprises, support the university’s Double First-Class construction, strengthen ties between Sany Group and the university, and boost the establishment of joint laboratories and innovative R&D centers by taking full advantage of the university’s strengths.
Vice Dean Chen Ailiang elaborated on the college’s current development from three perspectives: general overview, industry-education integration and future prospects. Afterwards, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on the construction of joint school-enterprise laboratories, innovative R&D centers, enterprise project databases and the recruitment of enterprise supervisors.
To accelerate cooperation progress, a special working group was set up at the meeting, and regular weekly promotion meetings were scheduled to ensure steady implementation of cooperation plans.
This symposium marks a solid step forward in the partnership between the two sides. Both parties will join hands to cultivate outstanding engineers for the new era. Through in-depth industry-education-research collaboration, they will explore new talent training modes and provide solid talent support for fulfilling national strategic needs and promoting industrial upgrading.
