The AI Innovation Forum Hosted by Academician Gui Weihua Achieves Complete Success

On February 25, the university organized an AI Innovation Forum themed "AI Empowers Scientific Research, Innovation Drives the Future". Academician Gui Weihua, a supervisor of the college, as well as college leaders and teachers attended the forum.

At the forum, Academician Gui Weihua delivered a special report entitled "Large Artificial Intelligence Models and Industrial Applications", which elaborated on the core principles, latest breakthroughs and future development directions of large artificial intelligence model technology in a simple and in-depth manner. Combining the practical experience of his own team in fields such as metallurgy and manufacturing, he analyzed in detail the application paths and challenges of large AI models in industrial scenarios. Academician Gui pointed out that the in-depth integration of artificial intelligence and industry is a key driving force for the development of new quality productive forces, and it is necessary to adhere to a demand-oriented approach and build a collaborative innovation ecosystem of "industry-university-research-application". In the interactive session, Academician Gui also had in-depth exchanges with teachers and students on hot issues such as technological ethics, talent training, and university-enterprise cooperation, with a strong on-site atmosphere and enthusiastic response.

This lecture is the first event of the universitys AI Innovation Series Forum, marking a new starting point for the university and our college in exploring the field of artificial intelligence.
